The EU organic certification of our Black Tiger Shrimp covers hatchery, farms and plant, supporting healthy environments and communities in Vietnam.
The shrimp graze naturally on plankton and algae – the ponds don’t use feed – and the farm area is checked to ensure the mangrove forest is well maintained and healthy. The forest must cover a minimum of 60% of the farm area, and the coverage is verified by satellite and ground surveys.
The process for DNA traceability has been started, with plans to bring this online by 2022.
