Cajun Creamy Shrimp Pasta

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound linguine
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • ¼ cup dry, white wine
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • ¼ cup chopped, fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 16 oz Ultra Natural Cajun Shrimp

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cook linguine according to package directions. Save and set aside 1 cup of pasta water. Drain the remaining water, place linguine in a bowl.
  2. Melt the butter in a large saucepan and whisk in flour. Cook until slightly golden brown and bubbly.
  3. Whisk in white wine and heavy whipping cream. Keep whisking to prevent lumps from forming.
  4. Whisk in reserved pasta water, cajun seasoning and parmesan cheese.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add cajun shrimp into the linguine.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley.
