Cajun Shrimp and Grits
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup white grits
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup white sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup chopped parsley
- 16 oz Ultra Natural Cajun Shrimp
DIRECTIONS
- Bring water and chicken broth to a boil. Add uncooked grits and salt. Stir immediately until incorporated. Turn heat to low. Stir occasionally for 30-35 minutes.
- Remove from heat, add butter and shredded cheese.
- Heat cajun shrimp in a saucepan until thoroughly heated through.
- Spoon grits into individual serving bowls.
- Ladle cajun shrimp on top of grits.
- Garnish with chopped parsley.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
Serves 4-6
