As the very first Fair Trade Certified Shrimp Aquaculture, we’re proud to make a positive impact on our communities, the environment and the world, but most especially the people for whom we can provide a safe means of income. So, back in 2014 we helped establish Fundesur, a local foundation taking a leadership role in the social development efforts of the Honduran Shrimp Industry. Check it out and see how you can get involved!

We support the regeneration of mangroves. With a mix of natural regeneration and planting programs we have recorded a 76% increase in mangrove forest cover since 1999.

We work tirelessly to create innovative practices that ensure our partners receive the best quality shrimp processed in a manner they can feel good about selling and serving.

Our modo, “nothing added, everything gained”, means we guarantee our natural shrimp contain no preservatives, antibiotics, or additives of any kind. Just great tasting shrimp.

We built our ponds on barren salt flats and the ocean water we pumped in for the shrimp converted that land into thousands of hectares of artificial wetland with a healthy population of mangrove trees and abundant birdlife.

These ecosystems host hundreds of bird species, including many migratory and protected species of shore birds. On its last survey in March 2021, volunteers of the Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network (WHSRN) observed 157 different bird species. The survey demonstrated the vital role shrimp farms play as habitat for shorebirds and other aquatic species.
